Today, the domestic market was on a positive note following the RBI’s stance on monetary policy. As the central bank kept the repo rate unchanged, and increased the growth forecast for 2024, the investors felt a sigh of relief.

The Nifty 50 went up 0.33% and closed at 20969.40 up from its previous close at 20901.40. The financial sector today rallied due to the positive RBI policy and the IT sector added to the gains significantly.

  1. HCL technologies: Following the rise in the IT sector today and HCL Tech being selected as ‘Partner of choice’ by Husqvarna Group for its IT and Digital Transformation, the stock is soaring high. Today, the stock gained 2.85% and closed at 1365.90, following its previous close at 1328.
  2. LTIM: The losses made by this stock yesterday were almost recovered with 2.57% gains that it made today, which secured the second top nifty gainers’ position today. This is linked to the upswing in the IT market as a whole and positive market sentiment.
  3. JSW Steel: This steel company made an advance of 2.47% as the realty market was in the green, and due to the unchanged interest rate by RBI, the investors have become more hopeful. The steel Company’s wholly owned subsidiary, JSW Steel USA Ohio, announced they are considering raising long-term funds, making investors look forward to growth and expansion.
  4. Infosys: This IT stock surged 1.71% following the buying pressure in the IT sector today. The stock closed at 1465.90 yesterday, while today, it went up to 1491 while closing.
  5. Apollo Hospitals: After four consecutive sessions ending in the red, today, this healthcare stock finally ended in the green at the end of the week. The stock gained 1.44% and closed at 5540, while it closed at 5461.40 yesterday and made it to the top nifty gainers of the day.

  1. Adani Enterprise: After rallying for half the week, the Adani Group stocks have slowed. Today, Adani Enterprise lost 1.98% and closed at 2829.90.
  2. Adani Ports: Similarly, the Port and SEZ business segment of the Adani group also declined today by 1.78%. The stock was at 1039.65 yesterday while closing, and today it closed at 2021.10.
  3. ITC: As the FMCG sector declined today, this FMCG stock made it to the top nifty losers by declining 1.77%. The stock closed at 450 while yesterday it closed at 458.10.
  4. Divi’s Lab: The pharma sector was down today, pulling this stock by 1.46%. This is, however, the fourth decline in a row for this stock this week.
  5. M&M: Mahindra and Mahindra released their investors’ presentation a day back, where the PAT has increased 3X in the last two years, from FY21 to FY23, and the CAGR stood at 75% in FY23. However, this stock declined 1.46% following the fall in the auto sector.
