Hello guys! It’s Wednesday, and we are back with our next episode of Bazaar ke Sanskaar for you.

What do you do when you don’t have enough but want to start investing? Do you think using your credit card loan to invest it in the stock market is okay? In today’s episode, our friends Maya and Ayaan discuss whether you should buy stocks with credit card cash loans.

If you still haven’t seen our last episode, here is a quick explanation of Bazaar ke Sanskaar, our educational series for investors. Through short stories, it highlights the dos and don’ts of investing to help you make informed decisions and cultivate sound investment habits.

(Excitedly) Hey Maya, I’ve got this amazing idea! Main apne credit cards max out karke iss new tech startup mein invest karne ki soch raha hoon. Sab bol rahein hain it’s the next big thing!

Waise yeh tip kisne di tumhe?  Aur tumhe ye idea thik lag raha hai?

00 Maya Questioning

Come on, Maya. It’s a no-brainer! Mujhe ye opportunity miss nahin karni hai.

Stock market main investments, khud ke paison ke liye bhi risky hota hai. Aur tum ho ki paise udhar lena chahate ho, wo bhi high-interest rates wale credit cards se. Yeh toh alag hi level hai risk ka.

Lekin potential returns ke baare mien bhi toh socho! Thode hi time mein paise double ho jaayenge.

Aur maan lo market crash hua toh?? Ya who company bankrupt ho gai toh?
Phir kya karoge? You’ll be stuck with a huge credit card bill and nothing to show for it. Pata hai na, credit cards ke interest rates kitne zyada hote hain?

Haan point toh hai. Lekin agar mein jyaada nahin, ek chota amount invest karoon toh?

Yeh chota sa loan, kal problem ban sakta hai, agar tum time pe repay na kar sake toh. Investing ko ek long-term game ki tarah socho.  Risk lene se pehle, ek solid financial foundation bana lo jaise ek corpus jisse tum sirf investment ke liye use karoge.

Hmm samajh gaya. I’ll think about it.

Good. Aur haan, investment unn paison se karo that you can afford to lose. Na ki unn paison se jo rent payment ya phir ghar ke zaruri kaam ke liye ho.

Yeh tum sahi keh rahi ho Maya. Using a credit card to invest in the stock market is a risky gamble. The potential for high returns is tempting, lekin downturn ke consequences bhi severe ho sakte hain. Toh , invest karo usse pehle, make sure you have a solid financial plan in place.
